PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Ethical Naturals Standardized Fruit Blend – SFB™, is derived from concentrated extracts of fruits and berries naturally high in polyphenol and antioxidant compounds. These include: Apple, Bilberry, Blueberry, Chokeberry, Cranberry, Goji Berry, Grape, Mangosteen and Pomegranate.

Unlike many blends, which are based upon ratios, SFB™ is standardized to contain defined levels of antioxidants: 40% Polyphenols and ORAC Value: 7,500 antioxidant units.

SFB™ with its guaranteed ORAC and Polyphenol levels, and high solubility profile is ideal for adding defined antioxidant power to beverages, foods and supplements.

SOLUBILITY AND TASTE
SFB™ has excellent solubility, and a mild taste profile. It is ideal in supplements, juice, tea, carbonated drinks, smoothies, gels, and RTD sports/fitness applications. With its content of exotic fruit and berry extracts, along with its defined antioxidant power and polyphenol levels, SFB™ adds both nutritional quality and excellent marketability to your supplement or food ingredient.

Polyphenols are the most abundant antioxidants in the diet, and their main dietary sources are the juices of richly colored fruits and berries [1]. Recent studies have established that polyphenols, administered as supplements or with food, are closely associated with cardiovascular health [2], as well as with the prevention of many other health problems so prevalent today such as osteoporosis, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetes [3].

The ORAC Value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) system was developed by the USDA to reliably quantify the anti-oxidant capacity of foods and supplement ingredients. The technology to accurately test these values was developed and patented by Brunswick Labs. SFB™ and ENI’s full range of antioxidant ingredients are all tested by Brunswick’s patented method.

Recommended Dosage:
Recommended ORAC intake (USDA) is approximately 5,000 units/day, though it is estimated that most people consume less than 3,000 units/day. To achieve 50% of the USDA recommended daily level of ORAC antioxidant, a dose level of 350mg of SFB™ provides a little over 2,500 ORAC units [4].
