GreenGrown®  Glucosamine

100% Vegetable Source
NON_GMO
Protected by US Patent
Highest USP grade
Nature verified by science®

Product description:
GreenGrown® Vegetable Source Glucosamine is produced by a unique fermentation process from non-GMO corn, with further purification to meet the USP standard for glucosamine.

Additionally, GreenGrown® is tested by ENI's patented Isotopic Carbon Tracing Method (ICTM) which identifies the unique markers that differentiate between shellfish and vegetable based glucosamine. This is significant, because under HPLC analysis the materials appear identical, and substitution can occur. Objective identification is therefore essential for product labeling, and for those consumers who are allergic to shellfish, vegetarian, or who for religious reasons cannot consume shellfish.

GreenGrown® provides the following features:

  • Vegetarian, Kosher, Non-GMO,

  • Non-Irradiated; ETO-Free

  • Highest USP-Grade

  • Identity confirmed by patented ICTM process

  • No shellfish allergen warning required

  • No negative association with aquaculture pollution problems

  • Available in powder & granule form/HCL and Sulfate

  • Highly water-soluble, clean tasting, excellent for dietary supplement liquid use

  • White, free-flowing powder

  • Ideal for all joint care formulas

Summary of Clinical Pharmacology:
Glucosamine exists as a component of mucoproteins and mucopolysaccharides in all human tissue and is found in high concentrations in cartilage. Glucosamine provides the building block for the O-linked and N-linked glycosaminoglycans that comprise the matrix of connective tissues in the body. Comparative cell culture studies have shown that Glucosamine base, Glucosamine hydrochloride, as well as Glucosamine sulfate are equally active [1].

Glucosamine has been investigated for its ability to modify underlying cartilaginous degeneration in joints, and therefore to potentially provide relief in osteoarthritis. The majority of studies have demonstrated Glucosamine's ability to alleviate osteoarthritic symptoms with equal, or in some cases superior effects, to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen [2-4].

Additionally, less negative side effects have been reported compared to NSAIDs. Studies also demonstrated that Glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycan, proteoglycan, and hyaluronic acid. Accordingly, Glucosamine has shown chondroprotective activity to both slow the progression of, and even correct some structural abnormalities associated with osteoarthritis [5].

Suggested Dosage Range: 1200 mg to 2000 mg per day
